The role of Cashier/Counter at ZIGZAG Pizza Pie is an essential position focused on delivering excellent customer service while managing the front-of-house operations. This hourly position, with a pay rate of $16.90, offers both part-time and full-time shifts, including AM, PM, or mixed shifts, providing flexibility for employees. As a Cashier/Counter staff member, you will be the face of the restaurant, responsible for greeting and acknowledging every guest warmly, processing orders efficiently through the POS system, and ensuring a smooth ordering experience. Your role also involves handling various payment methods such as credit cards, cash, and gift cards with accuracy and professionalism.

Beyond order taking and payment processing, the position requires guiding guests through the menu, demonstrating thorough knowledge of the restaurant's food and beverage options. Job Duties

  • Greet and acknowledge every guest with a friendly smile
  • answer phones and respond to guest inquiries in a polite and professional fashion
  • take orders at the counter and enter orders in the POS system
  • guide guests through menus while demonstrating thorough knowledge of food, beverages and ingredients
  • deliver orders perfectly and in a timely manner
  • manage the register, including credit card, cash and gift card transactions
  • thank guests for their visit and invite them back
  • maintain clean and orderly service areas and complete side work duties
  • assist with duties in other areas of the restaurant to ensure guest satisfaction
  • remain busy during slow times by cleaning, restocking and organizing
  • balance cash register at the start and close of each shift
  • comply with established safety and sanitation standards
  • adhere to company policies and standard procedures
