We are currently seeking part-time Cashiers for our location at Point Park University, 201 Wood Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15222. This position is ideal for individuals looking for flexible part-time work with varying days and hours to fit their schedule. The fixed pay rate for this role is $13.00 per hour. The role primarily involves cashiering duties including handling cash transactions, verifying cash drawers, issuing change, and completing cash reports. Job Duties
- Perform sales transactions in a timely fashion
- enter all sales into the cash register to ensure accurate purchase records
- make change and accept multiple forms of payment including declining balance cards
- issue receipts to customers
- follow procedures for issuing cash refunds
- interact with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner
- manage assigned cash drawer ensuring compliance with overage/shortage standards
- observe and enforce correct portion sizes in the cafe line
- replenish condiments, coffee, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness
- keep pastry case stocked
- ensure compliance with company service standards, inventory, cash control, sanitation, ServSafe, and safety requirements
- perform other duties as assigned
