The role of a Cashier is pivotal in representing the store as the face that customers interact with directly. This position requires providing fast and friendly service while ensuring the store remains stocked, clean, and operating smoothly throughout shifts. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for greeting customers warmly, processing sales accurately using the modern POS system, including handling transactions with lottery, fuel, and prepaid cards. You will also promote ongoing sales and upsell promotions, helping customers find exactly what they need.

Maintaining the store's overall environment is part of the role, which involves operating and maintaining food and beverage machines, restocking and rotating merchandise using the FIFO method, and ensuring all safety and loss prevention procedures are followed. The job also includes assisting customers with external services like pump usage, car wash, or air hose operations.

Handling cash, credit cards, and safe deposits accurately is critical as well as adhering to all laws regarding age-restricted sales such as alcohol, tobacco, and lottery tickets. Completing required training and fulfilling all shift duties with a reliable and professional attitude is expected. Job Requirements

Must be 21 years or older
high school diploma or GED preferred
excellent communication and customer service skills
ability to work alone or with minimal supervision
reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
comfortable standing for up to 8 hours
able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs and climb ladders
willing to work weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts
basic math and computer skills
authorized to work in the U.S.

Job Duties

Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service
ring up sales using our modern POS system including lottery, fuel, and prepaid cards
upsell promotions and help customers find what they need
