The position available is for a Cashier/Attendant, which plays a critical role in the daily operations of the store. This role involves managing the store's transactions in the absence of store management and attending to customer needs while adhering to company operating policies. The Cashier/Attendant is responsible for offering exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, suggesting merchandise purchases, and ensuring proper operation of the cash register and related equipment. The role also extends to merchandising duties such as pricing, stocking, and maintaining product presentation across various sections of the store including gondolas, shelving, counters, and coolers.

Physical tasks associated with the position require the ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds), manage product storage, and rotate stock to avoid damage or spoilage. Additionally, the Cashier/Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of the store by following maintenance policies and health department regulations. This includes tasks such as replacing gas nozzles, changing pump filters, sweeping parking lots, picking up trash, cleaning restrooms and floors, and ensuring the overall safety and security of the premises.

The role demands strong organizational and communication skills, multi-tasking abilities, and a solid work ethic. Candidates must be able to work flexible hours and function effectively both independently and as part of a team. The work environment is typical of a retail convenience store with a fast-paced atmosphere, requiring individuals to remain standing, walking, bending, and twisting for extended periods. Compensation for this role ranges from a minimum pay of $16.00 to a maximum pay of $18.00 per hour.
