The full-time Cashier position is based at the University of the Pacific campus in Stockton, California, working Sunday through Thursday from 5:00 PM to 12:15 AM. This role is integral to the customer experience, acting as the frontline representative of Bon Appetit's values and commitment to excellent service. The pay range for this position is competitive, offering $17.00 to $17.50 per hour, with additional incentives such as an internal employee referral bonus. The Cashier will be responsible for managing all cashiering duties including handling cash transactions, verifying the cash drawer, issuing receipts, and completing cash reports. Job Requirements

  • One year of previous cashier experience preferred
  • Willingness to train
  • Ability to work full-time schedule Sunday through Thursday, 5:00 PM to 12:15 AM
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to perform essential cashier duties including cash handling and customer service
  • Ability to maintain sanitation standards in foodservice areas

Job Duties

  • Perform sales transactions in a timely fashion
  • Enter all sales into the cash register to ensure accurate purchase recording
  • Make change and accept various forms of payment including declining balance cards
  • Issue receipts and follow procedures for cash refunds
  • Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly manner
  • Maintain cash drawer compliance with overage and shortage standards
  • Replenish condiments, coffee, beverages, and maintain cleanliness of service areas
  • Stock pastry case
  • Ensure compliance with company service standards, inventory, cash control, sanitation, ServSafe, and safety requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
