Cheese provides a welcoming workplace for first-time job seekers as well as those aspiring for long-term careers in the hospitality and entertainment industry.

The cashier role at Chuck E. Cheese is a frontline position crucial to the guest experience. Cashiers are responsible for taking orders, processing payments, assisting with prizes, and generally ensuring that guests receive outstanding service. This position is designed to empower employees through cross-training in various roles, enabling flexibility and a well-rounded work experience. Furthermore, Chuck E. This job offers two commission structures depending on employment classification. Exempt employees have the potential to earn commissions ranging from $0.50 to $10.00 per Membership sold and $0.15 to $3.00 for each Fun Pass sold, paid bi-weekly. Non-exempt employees can earn commissions ranging from $2.00 to $8.00 per Membership and $0.60 to $2.40 per Fun Pass, also paid bi-weekly. This structure supports motivated employees who excel at sales in addition to their regular responsibilities.

Work duties require cashiers to handle physical tasks such as lifting or carrying weights up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, walking, and squatting throughout their shifts. The work environment is dynamic and may include flashing and flickering lights, mechanical parts in motion, and loud noises, which require employees to manage job stress effectively while maintaining excellent interpersonal skills with guests and colleagues.

CEC Entertainment is also committed to diversity and inclusion, maintaining an Equal Opportunity Employer status and refusing to discriminate based on any protected classes such as race, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability status, or veteran status. The company fosters a culture of inclusion, ensuring that its workforce reflects the diverse guests it serves.

In addition to a competitive commission-based pay, Chuck E. Cheese offers a comprehensive benefits package for both part-time and full-time employees. These include telemedicine access, early wage access, a 401(k) retirement plan, meal discounts, employee assistance programs, tuition savings, scholarships, and financial relief resources. Part-time employees may opt into fixed indemnity medical coverage, dental, and vision benefits, as well as voluntary life and disability insurance. Full-time employees with an average of 29.5+ hours per week receive full medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid sick and vacation time, paid holidays where applicable, flexible spending accounts, life and disability insurance, legal coverage, and extra support for education and student loans.
