The position of Cashier involves much more than just processing transactions. Cashiers also monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area, assist customers by sharing product and project knowledge, and actively identify opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. The Head Cashier role elevates these responsibilities by supervising Cashiers, expediting price checks, approving transactions and markdowns, and managing various service areas including Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. Head Cashiers play a vital role in resolving customer issues promptly, coaching new and current Cashiers, and supporting the team to uphold store standards and performance targets.
