Job Description
Bluecrew is a dynamic and innovative staffing platform specializing in providing flexible, on-demand workforce solutions across various industries including event staffing and food service. With a commitment to efficiency and quality, Bluecrew connects motivated workers with employers seeking reliable temporary staff for special events and daily operations alike. As a trusted partner in workforce management, Bluecrew ensures that every staff member meets the highest standards of professionalism and service to enhance customer experiences and operational success.
The current opportunity focuses on staffing for FIFA World Cup games, a high-profile international event that demands exceptional service and attention to detail from its staff. Working through Bluecrew in the Event Staff or Food Service roles, employees will be responsible for a variety of duties that keep the event running smoothly and guests satisfied. This is an active, fast-paced position requiring physical stamina, interpersonal skills, and a strong work ethic. The roles include responsibilities such as cooking, preparing, serving food, cashiering, handling cash transactions responsibly, and maintaining sanitation standards throughout the venue. Employees will operate point of sale machines, engage courteously with customers, and ensure compliance with food safety and grooming guidelines, including wearing appropriate attire and maintaining personal hygiene standards.
An important prerequisite for employment is completing a background check which will be sent via email once a candidate has been selected. This process is vital for ensuring the safety and integrity of the event environment. Notably, Bluecrew adheres to the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance and the California Fair Chance Act, meaning qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be fairly considered for employment.
FIFA World Cup shifts are scheduled on June 19th, June 22nd, June 25th, and July 1st, and workers must be available for these dates. The position entails physical activities such as reaching, crouching, bending, and standing for extended periods. It requires comfort working in hectic and busy settings, with an emphasis on team collaboration as well as independent task execution. The role may also include general food service duties like cleaning and sanitizing dishes and equipment. Employees must adhere to GMP guidelines regarding food handling, including keeping hair tied back, fingernails trimmed, and potentially covering facial hair. A professional and neat appearance is necessary, with close-toed shoes and pants being part of the dress code if no other guidance is given.
This temporary role offers individuals the chance to be part of a globally significant event, working in an engaging and vibrant atmosphere. It is suited for motivated candidates who understand the importance of following safety protocols and delivering excellent customer service under pressure. Bluecrew emphasizes a healthy and safe work environment, expecting staff to remain in good health throughout their shifts. Candidates who cannot meet the physical or professional requirements are advised not to accept the assignment, ensuring that all personnel are capable and ready to perform their duties with excellence and care.
