The role of Cash Logistics Supervisor within Brink's U.S., a division of Brink's Incorporated, represents a pivotal leadership position in the company's operations. Brink's U.S. is the premier provider of armored car transportation, currency and coin processing, ATM servicing, and other value-added services. This division caters to financial institutions, retailers, as well as commercial and government entities. With a proud tradition of offering career growth and advancement opportunities, Brink's U.S. is seeking a highly skilled individual to supervise the inside currency operations.

The Cash Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations within the cash logistics facility to ensure the security, accuracy, and efficiency of cash processing and inventory. This role demands a strong focus on accountability and security, managing workflows effectively to meet service level agreements and contract requirements. The supervisor will also play a critical role in coaching and developing staff, scheduling, maintaining compliance with safety and legal standards, and fostering continuous process improvement through the use of advanced systems and equipment.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years operations experience in a cash or vault processing environment
  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • A valid firearms permit or ability to pass applicable firearms licensing
  • A valid guard card or ability to obtain a guard card or any other required licenses
  • Satisfy all applicable Department of Transportation requirements
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years operations experience in a cash or vault processing environment
  • Ability to obtain a valid firearms permit
  • Ability to obtain a valid guard card or any other required licenses
  • Satisfy all applicable Department of Transportation requirements
  • Supervisory experience in a production environment preferred
  • Cash handling experience in the secure logistics or banking industry preferred
  • Experience in a coin processing environment preferred
  • Knowledge of lean/process improvement methodologies preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide first line supervision to cash logistics employees
  • Oversee daily cash operations including deposit verification, change order preparation, inventory management, and opening and closing of branch and vault check in/out
  • Provide coaching and skill development to employees on a consistent basis
  • Create employee scheduling to support daily work load
  • Adhere to SLA performance and contract requirement
  • Leverage systems, equipment and process redesign to drive continuous process improvement in quality and efficiency
  • Secure inventories by executing controls and ensuring strict quality compliance with security procedures
  • Ensure activities are performed in compliance with company policies and procedures as well as state and federal laws and regulations
  • Maintain accurate records, handle customer inquiries, and balance transactions daily
  • Processing support when needed
  • Maintain orderly and clean work areas, including all machines, tables, cabinets and storage areas
  • Assist management as need to meet branch goals
  • Cross-train and perform other duties as assigned
