The Independent Living Skills Case Manager role at Catholic Charities focuses on preparing and supporting current and former foster youth enrolled in the Youth and Young Adult Services and Independent Living Skills (ILS) Program. This position is vital in assisting foster youth aged 15 to 23 as they transition from the foster care system to independent adulthood. The Case Manager works directly with youth and young adults to enhance their skills, knowledge, and competencies across all life domains, including employment, housing, money management, education, and permanency. The role involves hands-on skill-building, navigating community resources, and empowering youth to advocate for themselves effectively.

This full-time position is supervised under Youth and Young Adult Services and requires travel across multiple counties to engage with program participants. The Independent Living Skills Case Manager facilitates individual and group training sessions, recruits and retains program participants, and builds collaborative relationships with social workers, caregivers, and community providers. The role demands a high level of engagement, utilizing motivational interviewing and other techniques to maintain consistent contact and support goal achievement.

Candidates will find the work schedule revolves around regular business hours Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with some flexibility for occasional evening or out-of-area travel to meet client needs. The salary range for this position is between $22 and $27 per hour, depending on experience and education.
