Job Description
The company hiring for this position operates in the quick-service restaurant industry, focusing on delivering fast, friendly, and efficient customer service. Known for its commitment to quality and excellent guest experience, the establishment maintains high standards for food preparation, cleanliness, and employee performance. They strive to create an environment where team members can thrive, grow, and contribute to their overall mission of delivering great food with outstanding service to every customer, every time.
This role is for a Carhop, a position that plays a vital role in the dining experience by serving customers directly at their vehicles. The Carhop ensures that all products meet operational, quality, and presentation standards before delivering them to the guest. This includes carrying trays that may weigh up to 25 pounds, providing polite and efficient service, promptly responding to guest requests, and handling payments accurately. The Carhop not only serves food and drinks but also clears trays and trash from customer vehicles and surrounding areas to maintain cleanliness and comfort. This role requires adherence to all company policies and operational standards, including regular sanitation and cleaning duties. Additionally, some Carhops may be required to complete training and perform duties on roller skates, adding a dynamic element to the role.
Working as a Carhop involves irregular hours with shifts during nights, weekends, and holidays, accommodating the busy times associated with a bustling food service environment. The position is nonexempt with a focus on providing excellent customer service, multitasking, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for both guests and staff. The Carhop reports directly to the Manager on Duty, ensuring smooth communication and swift resolution of customer complaints or employee issues. The role also demands physical stamina as it involves continuous standing, bending, lifting, reaching, and sometimes skating.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy engaging with customers in a fast-paced environment and who take pride in providing top-notch service. It suits those who are reliable, have good communication skills, and are comfortable with multitasking and physical activity. Candidates with experience in restaurant or retail settings, basic math skills, and an ability to follow directions will succeed and find fulfillment in this role.
