As a caregiver at Home Instead, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of seniors by providing companionship, personal care, and daily living assistance directly within the clients’ homes. This is a rewarding position that offers the chance to build meaningful relationships with seniors by offering emotional support and engaging in conversations that enrich their daily lives. You will assist with important daily activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, running errands, and personal hygiene tasks including dressing, grooming, and bathing when necessary. Ensuring the safety and well-being of your clients is a top priority, and you will be responsible for keeping accurate care notes and communicating effectively with the care team and supervisors.

Home Instead offers flexible scheduling options including part-time, full-time, night shifts, weekends, and overtime shifts to promote a healthy work-life balance. Starting pay ranges from $17 to $20 per hour with same-day pay available. New caregivers receive paid comprehensive training and ongoing support to succeed in their roles. This position does not require prior experience, as Home Instead provides all necessary training to equip you for success. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are essential as you will be traveling to different clients within Portage County and surrounding areas including Kent, Aurora, Ravenna, Tallmadge, and more. Passing a background check and drug screening is also required.
