The role available is a non-exempt, hourly position that can be full-time or part-time, offering flexibility to the right candidate. It involves direct support duties within a single program or unit, typically serving 4 to 6 individuals in residential settings or up to 10 individuals in periodic programs. This position is vital in delivering daily assistance and support tailored to each individual's service and program plans. Responsibilities include promoting socialization, health maintenance, medication administration, and skill or behavioral development. The role demands engagement in daily living activities, such as personal care, housekeeping, recreational activities, transportation, community integration, shopping, and citizenship development. The professional in this position will also be tasked with managing individuals’ assets responsibly and supporting them in making cost-effective and preference-based purchases.

Successful candidates will be adept at meticulous record-keeping and must uphold confidentiality and ethical standards at all times. They are charged with identifying and reporting any incidents of abuse, neglect, or medical and behavioral concerns promptly as per established policies and regulations. The role also requires ensuring a safe and clean environment, adhering to all safety protocols, and participating actively in training and team meetings. Travel within the community to accompany individuals to appointments or community events is part of the job, necessitating a valid driver’s license and adherence to local driving laws. This position demands physical stamina, including the ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally when assisting individuals.
