Job Description

Mentor Community Services, a proud member of the Sevita family, is dedicated to providing compassionate and community-based services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. With a mission deeply rooted in the belief that every person has the right to live well and enjoy a fulfilling life, Mentor Community Services offers vital support and care to empower individuals across various settings. As part of Sevita, a leading provider of specialized health care across the United States for over 50 years, this establishment is committed to innovating and enhancing the quality of life for the people they serve. The organization’s expansive network includes 40,000 team members who contribute daily to supporting approximately 50,000 individuals nationwide, emphasizing personalized care that respects individual differences and fosters independence.

At the Gold Dust Group Home, located near 95th Ave and Olive, Mentor Community Services is currently seeking dedicated caregivers to join their dynamic team. This role offers an hourly pay rate of $15.15 and presents an opportunity to engage in meaningful work that supports individuals in growing, learning, and living well. As a caregiver, you will be an integral part of a mission-driven environment where real relationships and trust build the foundation for impactful care. You will be trusted by leadership to act in the best interests of those you assist, encouraging participants to become active members of their communities and participate in activities they enjoy.

The position involves directly assisting individuals with personal hygiene, supporting behavioral challenges, and meeting complex needs with compassion and patience. Caregivers at Mentor Community Services are expected to help participants achieve developmental goals such as budgeting skills, exercise routines, and nutrition management. The role is both challenging and rewarding, offering a chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities by fostering independence and dignity.

In addition to the rewarding nature of the work, mentors and caregivers are supported with competitive pay and a full benefits package for full-time employees, which includes a 401(k) plan with a company match of 3 percent. Employees also benefit from paid time off and holiday pay to ensure they can recharge and maintain their well-being. A network of supportive supervisors is in place to provide both professional guidance and personal support, making it a stable and secure job opportunity within a growing and established company. The organization values investing in its workforce, offering ongoing tools, training, and development opportunities to promote career growth and satisfaction.

Sevita’s inclusive workplace culture fosters respect and equal opportunity for all applicants and employees. The company does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, or gender identity), national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, citizenship, or any other legally protected characteristic. This ensures a welcoming and supportive environment for all team members.

If you are compassionate, patient, and eager to contribute to a team making a profound social impact, this caregiver role at Mentor Community Services presents a promising career path. It epitomizes a career well-lived where the rewards of helping others grow and thrive are experienced daily. Join Mentor Community Services and be part of a mission nurturing growth, independence, and community inclusion for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
