In this role, the focus is primarily on cardiac cases, with potential involvement in thoracic cases. Surgeons will experience an annual case volume of approximately 435 open heart surgeries, 150 thoracic surgeries, and more than 250 aortic valve replacements (AVR). While advanced cardiac surgical skills, including complex aortic surgery and mitral valve repair, are desired, they are not a mandatory requirement. The position offers flexible scheduling with a per diem approach, designed to accommodate work-life balance. Call rotation is 1:3, supporting manageable on-call demands.
