Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform physical job requirements with or without accommodation
  • Must be at least 18 years old for equipment use
  • Willingness to work scheduled shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to comply with all food safety, sanitation, and store policies
  • Adept at handling knives and bakery equipment safely
  • Ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude
  • Capable of learning multiple job functions across store departments
  • Strong attention to detail

Job Qualifications

  • Prior retail, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with strong follow-through
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn product details
  • Ability to build positive relationships with team members, customers, and vendors
  • Strong responsibility and accountability to complete assigned tasks
  • Experience meeting customer service standards

Job Duties

  • Create and decorate cakes, tarts, pastries, and special-order bakery goods
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address customer needs promptly
  • Work in multiple store areas including cashiering when cross-trained
  • Process customer purchases, returns, and credits
  • Stock shelves and displays ensuring proper product rotation and front facing
  • Support electronic shelf label maintenance and stay informed of new products and placements
  • Follow all standard operating procedures, food safety, and compliance duties within the department
  • Participate in fiscal period and quarter-end inventories
  • Maintain a positive work environment and collaborate with store leadership and team members
