Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical job requirements with or without accommodation
- Must be at least 18 years old for equipment use
- Willingness to work scheduled shifts including weekends and holidays
- Ability to comply with all food safety, sanitation, and store policies
- Adept at handling knives and bakery equipment safely
- Ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude
- Capable of learning multiple job functions across store departments
- Strong attention to detail
Job Qualifications
- Prior retail, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately
- Proactive problem-solving skills with strong follow-through
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge or willingness to learn product details
- Ability to build positive relationships with team members, customers, and vendors
- Strong responsibility and accountability to complete assigned tasks
- Experience meeting customer service standards
Job Duties
- Create and decorate cakes, tarts, pastries, and special-order bakery goods
- Provide exceptional customer service and address customer needs promptly
- Work in multiple store areas including cashiering when cross-trained
- Process customer purchases, returns, and credits
- Stock shelves and displays ensuring proper product rotation and front facing
- Support electronic shelf label maintenance and stay informed of new products and placements
- Follow all standard operating procedures, food safety, and compliance duties within the department
- Participate in fiscal period and quarter-end inventories
- Maintain a positive work environment and collaborate with store leadership and team members
