This specific position is for a Cake Decorator within the bakery department, a crucial role responsible for enhancing Costco’s bakery offerings with visually appealing and delicious cakes. Working in this role, employees will craft, decorate, and package cakes to meet special order requests as well as stock inventory for daily sales. The Cake Decorator must follow detailed production schedules, decorate cakes using pastry bags and various icing techniques, fill and ice cakes adhering to weight and presentation standards, and ensure quality and sanitary guidelines are consistently met. Additionally, the role requires providing high-level member service, assisting with other bakery tasks as needed, and collaborating with colleagues to maintain a smooth workflow and a clean work environment.
