The current role is for a Cashier position within our casino floor operations. This position is essential in delivering superior customer service to both internal team members and external guests. The cashier will perform varied transactional functions with accuracy, integrity, and efficiency, contributing to a smooth and enjoyable customer experience. The role requires fast and precise handling of cash and checks, managing different forms of financial transactions including front money, safekeeping transactions, currency exchange, check cashing, credit card cash advances, and ticket-related transactions.
In addition to transactional duties, the cashier is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, accurately completing paperwork, and adhering strictly to internal controls, standard operation procedures, and all regulatory requirements. This includes compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Title 31 regulations, Illinois Gaming Commission standards, as well as company policies. The position demands confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive financial data, as well as a friendly and efficient approach when serving customers.
Candidates selected for this role must be prepared to work varying shifts on the casino floor, which involves standing throughout their shift in a dynamic and sometimes noisy environment driven by guest volume. Flexibility, good communication skills, and a professional appearance are mandatory, alongside several certifications and licenses required by federal, state, and gaming authorities.
This opportunity is suited for individuals with a high school diploma or equivalent, preferably with prior cashier or teller experience, and good arithmetic skills. The pay range for this role is between $15 and $20 per hour, reflecting the importance and responsibilities of the position. Job Requirements
- Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per federal, state, and Illinois Gaming Commission

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior cashier or teller experience preferred
- good arithmetic skills preferred
- excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- basic math skills
- 10-key calculator proficiency
- ability to communicate effectively with external and internal contacts
- ability to review, comprehend, analyze, and assimilate reports and documentation
Job Duties
- Quickly and accurately makes change
- cashes checks
- processes fills
- writes receipts for pay outs and other documents
- inputs and accesses information on the computer
- greets patrons and offers efficient, timely customer service during all window transactions
- uses current technology to obtain customer credit information, field incoming calls and coordinates work with fellow employees
- maintains bank balance and keeps work area clean and supplies stocked
- completes any required paperwork
- performs additional duties as assigned by the shift supervisor
- manages customer facing transactions including front money, safekeeping transactions, currency exchange, check cashing, credit card cash advance, and ticket related transactions
- completes all related documentation with accuracy
- balances specifically assigned areas with accuracy
- adheres to internal controls and standard operating procedures
- follows all AML/Title 31 regulations
- complies with all company policies and procedures
- adheres to all Illinois Gaming Regulations
- attends seminars when needed
