The General Manager acts as the operational and cultural leader of the cafe, overseeing daily performance across financial management, team development, guest experience, and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the District Manager, the General Manager is responsible for achieving key performance metrics including revenue targets, labor management, and operational goals, ensuring profitable and efficient cafe operations. They also cultivate a vibrant cafe atmosphere rooted in exceptional hospitality and coffee craftsmanship, maintaining high standards in service quality and presentation while addressing guest feedback with professionalism and care.\n\nLeadership and team development are at the core of this role. The General Manager is tasked with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retaining a high-performing team. Providing continuous coaching, feedback, and professional growth opportunities fosters a culture of accountability, inclusion, and collaboration. This leader partners with Coffee Educators to elevate staff expertise in coffee knowledge, product quality, and craft standards, inspiring the team to deliver outstanding hospitality. Additionally, the position requires effective scheduling and labor budget management to meet operational demands during peak and non-peak hours. The General Manager also ensures operational upkeep through maintenance coordination, vendor relationship management, and administrative reporting, while actively engaging in company leadership initiatives and meetings. The annual salary for this position is set at $67,600 with potential quarterly bonuses based on cafe performance and company metrics. Job Requirements

- At least 1 year of experience managing a cafe or similar hospitality environment
- Strong espresso preparation and beverage crafting skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
- Ability to multitask and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment

- Strong problem-solving abilities and operational judgment

Job Duties
- Achieve cafe performance metrics including revenue, labor management, and operational targets
- Manage cafe profitability through responsible expense management and revenue growth
- Review operational and financial reports to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Implement strategies that improve efficiency, productivity, and guest experience
- Ensure accurate cash handling and adherence to company financial procedures
- Cultivate a welcoming and vibrant cafe environment centered around coffee craft and community
- Model exceptional hospitality in every guest interaction
- Maintain high standards of beverage quality, service consistency, and cafe presentation
- Address guest feedback and resolve concerns with professionalism and care
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain a high-performing cafe team
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development for team members
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and inclusion
- Partner with the store’s Coffee Educators to support staff training on coffee knowledge, product quality, and craft standards
- Inspire team members to deliver outstanding hospitality and take pride in their work
- Create and maintain staff schedules that meet the operational needs of the cafe while managing labor budgets
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels during peak and non-peak hours
- Monitor labor trends and adjust schedules to support business performance
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe and all equipment
- Coordinate and schedule routine equipment maintenance and repairs
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers
- Complete and submit operational summaries and reports to leadership and cross-functional teams
- Actively participate in manager meetings, leadership discussions, and company initiatives
