With over 35 monitors throughout the restaurant showcasing high-energy video and photography montages of iconic Planet Hollywood moments over its impressive 25-year history, guests experience a visual feast that complements the exceptional culinary offerings. The walls decorate an eclectic photo gallery that highlights unforgettable entertainment moments, adding to the overall exciting ambiance. Open 24 hours every day, Cafe Hollywood caters to a diverse clientele with its all-day breakfast options, late-night dinner menu, a sleek wine bar, and The Counter that serves fresh pastries, coffee, gelato, and a variety of take-out items. The wine bar boasts an impressive selection of over 40 different wine varietals, including 24 available by-the-glass along with a full bar and small plates, making it a perfect venue for pre-or post-theater cocktails, happy hour gatherings with friends, or any time indulgence in great wine, craft beers, or cocktails is desired.

This bartender role at Cafe Hollywood requires an individual who can skillfully mix and serve drinks directly to patrons or through waitstaff while maintaining exceptional customer service and ensuring compliance with all legal requirements. Bartenders will be responsible for balancing cash receipts, checking identification for age verification, maintaining cleanliness of bar areas and equipment, and managing supplies and liquor requisitions. In addition, this position demands proactive management of customer safety and behavior by appropriately addressing issues related to excessive drinking, including persuading patrons to stop or arranging transportation when necessary. Bartenders also contribute to the restaurant’s aesthetic appeal by arranging bottles and glasses attractively and preparing light appetizers such as pickles, cheese, and cold meats. Supervisory duties include overseeing bar staff performance and ensuring smooth operational control of the cocktail lounge or bar area. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
previous experience as a bartender or in a similar hospitality role preferred
ability to check identification and comply with alcohol service laws
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to bartending
availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
ability to manage cash and balance receipts accurately

Job Duties

Collect money for drinks served
check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
balance cash receipts
attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons
clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment
take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons
serve wine and bottled or draft beer
clean bars, work areas, and tables
mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks
serve snacks or food items to customers seated at the bar
order or requisition liquors and supplies
ask customers who become loud and obnoxious to leave or physically remove them
slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays
plan, organize, and control the operations of a cocktail lounge or bar
supervise the work of bar staff and other bartenders
prepare appetizers such as pickles, cheese, and cold meats
check I.D.s before serving guests
