We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Baristas to join our team. As the face of our cafe, Baristas play a crucial role in shaping the customer experience by offering warm welcomes, expertly crafting a variety of hot and cold beverages including espresso drinks, cold-pressed juices, and smoothies, and preparing grab-and-go breakfast items such as pastries, sandwiches, wraps, and flatbreads. This role requires someone with a positive attitude who excels at multitasking and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Maintaining a spotless workspace is key, including cleaning espresso machines, wiping down counters, washing dishes, and ensuring the dining area remains tidy. Baristas will also manage inventory levels throughout shifts, restocking essential supplies and notifying management when stocks run low. A vital part of the role involves allergen awareness to support customer safety by accurately communicating ingredient information and adhering to strict health, safety, and food handling regulations. This position offers flexible working hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with an hourly rate of 17 to 20 dollars plus tips, making it an ideal fit for those seeking a dynamic and rewarding job in the hospitality industry.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- ability to bend and lift up to 40 lbs
- comfortable working in varying temperature environments such as coolers, freezers, and kitchens
- must be ServSafe Food Handler Certified or be able to acquire one
Job Qualifications
- Cafe or deli experience is welcome but not required
- strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers and colleagues
- basic knowledge of computers and POS systems
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification preferred

Job Duties
- Welcome customers warmly
- take orders accurately
- answer questions about the menu
- handle cash and digital transactions efficiently using the POS system
- prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages and grab-and-go breakfast items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- maintain a spotless work environment including wiping down counters, washing dishes, cleaning espresso machines, emptying trash cans, and ensuring the dining area is tidy
- restock coffee beans, syrups, pastries, cups, and napkins throughout the shift
- alert the Cafe Lead when inventory levels are running low
- know menu ingredients and common allergens
- follow procedures to prevent cross-contact
- accurately communicate allergen and ingredient information to customers
- assist the grab-and-go and deli areas and other stations during busy periods or as directed by the Cafe Lead
- adhere strictly to all local health, safety, and food handling regulations
