The Cabana Server position at Great Wolf Lodge is a vital role within the food and beverage team, responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience to guests. The primary function of this role is to take and serve food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining a positive and friendly interaction with guests. Working in a fast-paced environment, the Cabana Server is expected to provide attentive customer service by presenting menus, recommending food and beverage options, and accommodating special dietary needs or requests. This role involves direct guest interaction and requires a hospitable, professional demeanor to enhance the overall guest experience.

The Cabana Server will be responsible for transmitting orders to the kitchen and bar staff, ensuring the smooth progression of meal service, and managing transactions including billing and payments. The role also entails maintaining cleanliness and proper table settings, ensuring adherence to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies. Job Requirements

  • Some high school education or equivalent
  • basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division as they apply to cash handling
  • must be flexible regarding scheduling based on business demands including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • successful completion of criminal background check and drug screen

Job Duties

  • Help patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu
  • offer cocktails and appetizers
  • suggest courses
  • explain the chef's specialties
  • identify appropriate wines
  • answer food preparation questions and understand customer's special needs and dietary restrictions
  • Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices
  • identify patrons' special dietary needs and requests
  • Keep kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression
  • Serve orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen including accompaniments and condiments from service bars as requested
  • Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring about needs
