This particular role is based at a Forbes Five-Star Rated and AAA Five-Diamond Luxury Resort, which was named Conde Nast Best Hotel in Oahu 2022. The resort offers a unique and upscale experience to its guests, demanding a high level of personalized service and attention to detail. The position is a casual employment opportunity, requiring 0-19 hours per week, with a competitive hourly wage of $27.32. The benefits included cover various aspects of employee wellness and professional growth, such as travel discounts, credit union membership, professional counseling and family support, growth and development opportunities, and several site-specific perks like on-site subsidized employee parking, employee breakroom amenities, complimentary uniform dry cleaning, celebratory luncheons, discounted theme park tickets and rental cars, and community service opportunities.
The role is integral to the guest services team and involves a wide array of responsibilities directed towards enhancing and maximizing each guest's experience. The successful candidate functions much like a personal assistant, operating discreetly and maintaining confidentiality while providing tailored services based on the hotel’s standards. This involves gathering and utilizing guest information prior to arrival to anticipate and fulfill specific needs, such as managing transportation, dining preferences, and accommodation setups.
Key duties include collaborating with Guest Services Associates to obtain pre-arrival data, ensuring familiarization and compliance with all departmental policies, procedures, and use of the hotel’s Property Management System, and handling various guest requests promptly and efficiently. The role also encompasses maintaining cleanliness and organization of guest and work areas, performing or overseeing light housekeeping duties, and supporting food and beverage services. Concierge services are also a significant component, requiring expertise in business services, dining and attraction reservations, event planning, personal shopping, and arranging spa or childcare services.
Safety and security of guests on the property are paramount, and the candidate must provide guidance on travel safety, particularly for ocean and nature activities. Flexibility to undertake additional duties as directed by management is also essential. This position is ideal for someone passionate about hospitality, with strong interpersonal skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate and meet diverse guest needs while maintaining the highest standards of service excellence.
