Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one to three months related experience or training
  • ability to read, write, and understand English
  • physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to work flexible shifts including after school and weekends
  • commitment to teamwork and professionalism
  • willingness to perform opening, running, shift change, and closing duties
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • ability to learn, understand, discuss, and utilize company culture as an essential tool
  • ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
  • ability to write simple correspondence
  • ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • ability to read, write, and understand written and spoken English
  • ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions
  • physical ability to stand, walk, use hands and arms, talk or hear, and taste or smell
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • specific vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Job Duties

  • assist with ensuring all guests receive a superior dining experience
  • turn tables as quickly as possible by clearing, cleaning, sanitizing, and resetting tables within 45 seconds
  • assist with running food
  • have a good knowledge of the menu and an excellent knowledge of the floor plan
  • assist other employees whenever possible promoting teamwork
  • maintain cleanliness of the dining areas, bar, wait stations, parking lot, patio, and restrooms
  • have full awareness of all necessary stocking at the wait stations and the bar
  • serve all guests with interest, speed, and attention to detail according to service standards
  • complete all assigned opening, running, shift change, and closing duties including side work
  • empty and reline trash cans and replace linen bags as necessary
  • be prepared to provide guests with information about the restaurant and company
  • ensure all side work is checked by a manager or shift leader
  • maintain professionalism and uphold company policies regarding guest interactions and tip discussions
