Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned restaurant chain that started as a family-owned establishment with a vision to offer people something special: a connection to seafood and the coast. Over fifty years later, the passion that founded the restaurant continues to thrive in each of its over 500 locations. Red Lobster is not just a place to eat or work; it is an integral part of the communities it serves. Their restaurants serve as a gathering place where new friends become familiar faces, providing guests with memorable dining experiences and cherished moments. Red Lobster prides itself on its warm, welcoming environment, making every customer feel part of the family while delivering delicious seafood meals.
As a busser/runner at Red Lobster, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of the dining area. This position offers competitive weekly pay, flexible schedules, and access to a variety of valuable benefits, including affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at less than $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits. Employees are also eligible for a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company contributions after one year of service, anniversary pay, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. Additionally, Red Lobster invests in the professional growth of its team by providing training and career advancement opportunities.
Your job responsibilities will include welcoming guests with a smile, preparing stations before shifts, ensuring tables are set with utensils and condiments, refilling beverages, clearing used dishes and glassware, delivering meals promptly to customers, assisting servers as needed, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation standards, and keeping the dining area clean and orderly. You will also be responsible for proper communication regarding table availability and managing the dishwasher area efficiently. This is an excellent role for individuals who enjoy dynamic, fast-paced environments and have a passion for hospitality and teamwork.
The physical demands of this job require the ability to bend, reach, stoop, and safely lift up to 30 pounds. You should be able to stand for shifts lasting 8 to 12 hours and work effectively as part of a team with attention to detail and multitasking capabilities. Red Lobster values diversity and inclusivity, proudly embracing equal employment opportunities and fostering a welcoming workplace for all employees regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. Exciting plans are underway for Red Lobster's future, making it an ideal time to join this thriving family and grow your career in the hospitality industry.
