The restaurant goes beyond being just a place to eat and work; it serves as a vital part of the communities it operates in, where new friends become familiar faces. Red Lobster is committed to providing its team members with a supportive work environment, competitive pay, and opportunities for growth and development.
The role of Busser/Runner at Red Lobster is a key position responsible for ensuring that the dining experience for guests runs smoothly and efficiently. This part-time position offers weekly pay, flexible hours, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance options starting at less than $10 per week. Additional benefits include life insurance, short-term disability coverage, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company contributions after one year of service. Employees are also eligible for anniversary pay, discounted shift meals, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. Red Lobster prioritizes training and career advancement opportunities, making it an ideal workplace for individuals looking to grow in the hospitality industry.
As a Busser/Runner, employees play an essential role in creating a welcoming atmosphere by greeting customers with a smile and preparing the station for each shift. Responsibilities include ensuring that tables are properly set with silverware and condiments, refilling beverages, removing used dishes and glassware, and delivering hot food to customers promptly. This role also involves assisting servers as needed, maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards, clearing tables and resetting them, and communicating table availability to the team. Physical demands of the job require employees to bend, reach, stoop, and safely carry up to 30 pounds while standing for extended periods during shifts that can last between 8 to 12 hours. Teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask are essential traits for success in this role.
Red Lobster is committed to equal opportunity employment and welcomes applicants of diverse backgrounds to join its inclusive workplace, free from discrimination based on age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status.
