Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned seafood restaurant chain with over five decades of history rooted in delivering a unique dining experience that connects guests with the essence of the coast and seafood. Originating from a family-owned restaurant, Red Lobster has expanded to more than 500 locations, each embodying the founding passion for great food and memorable moments. The company prides itself on being more than just a place to eat; it serves as a valued part of the community where new patrons quickly become familiar faces. This dedication to community and quality service cultivates a warm, welcoming environment for both customers and team members.
Working with Red Lobster means joining a company that values not only its food and customer experience but also its employees. The company offers competitive weekly pay, flexible scheduling, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at under $10 per week. Additional benefits include life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching after one year of service, anniversary pay upon eligibility, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. Red Lobster also emphasizes career growth by offering training and advancement opportunities so employees can thrive and move up within the organization.
The position of Busser/Runner at Red Lobster is vital in maintaining the smooth operation of the dining room and ensuring guest satisfaction through prompt, attentive service. As a Busser/Runner, you will greet each guest with a friendly smile and prepare your station at the start of each shift. You will be responsible for keeping tables well-stocked with cutlery and condiments, refilling drinks, clearing used dishes and glassware, and delivering hot food to guests as it becomes ready. Supporting servers by assisting with guest needs and following all food safety and sanitation guidelines ensures a clean and safe dining environment. Clearing and resetting tables, cleaning floors and seats, managing table availability communication, and sorting items at the dishwashing area are also part of your routine duties.
Physical demands include the ability to bend, reach, stoop, and safely lift up to 30 pounds, as well as standing for 8 to 12 hour shifts. These tasks require attention to detail, strong teamwork, and multitasking skills. Red Lobster is committed to making reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
If you want to be part of a dynamic team with great plans on the horizon and a promising future, there is no better time than now to join the Red Lobster family. You will experience a welcoming workplace that fosters equal opportunity and embraces diversity regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status.
