This position plays a vital role in supporting the front-of-house operations by ensuring that the dining environment is impeccably maintained throughout service hours.

The Busser supports a seamless dining experience by efficiently clearing, resetting, and maintaining tables and the dining room with speed and care in our fast-paced, elevated California bistro. The individual in this role works closely with the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and service team to keep service flowing smoothly and maintain the welcoming ambiance our guests expect. This primary position in the service team requires agility, quick thinking, and a strong commitment to cleanliness and hospitality.

As a Busser, you will be responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the dining room, service stations, and floors, ensuring that every table is ready for guests promptly and to the highest standards. By promptly refilling water, bread, and other necessary items and assisting servers with food running, you help ensure a continual and elevated dining experience for guests. We value individuals with a genuine passion for food, beverage, and hospitality, who thrive in fast-paced environments and work well within a team to maintain service flow and guest satisfaction.

Physical stamina is essential in this role, as Bussers need to stand and walk for extended periods, manage moderate loads, and be quick and attentive in carrying out their duties. Compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards is critical, and reporting any concerns to management is part of the responsibility. Successful candidates will be team players with a strong sense of urgency and a dedication to offering discreet, attentive, and professional support to both guests and colleagues. This position requires at least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant environment and the ability to obtain a California Food Handler Card within 30 days if not already held.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often for the duration of a shift
  • Ability to lift and carry moderate loads, typically up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to bend, reach, and move quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Frequent interaction with guests and staff, including clear verbal communication

Job Qualifications

  • California Food Handler Card or must obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant
  • Comfortable working in an elevated bistro environment
  • Genuine passion for food, beverage, and hospitality
  • Strong sense of teamwork and urgency

Job Duties

  • Clear, clean, and reset tables quickly and quietly between guests
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, service stations, and floors
  • Refill water, bread, and other items and assist servers with food running as needed
  • Restock service stations with supplies, silverware, and glassware
  • Provide discreet, attentive, and professional support to guests
  • Support servers and management to keep service moving efficiently
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation requirements and report concerns to management
