They play a vital role in the continuous effort to pre-bus tables and pick up trash, straighten furniture, and manage side work duties. The role also extends to supporting the bar area by keeping ice well-stocked, polishing glassware and silverware, and promptly addressing spills or messes that occur during service hours. Furthermore, bussers interact with guests by answering questions or directing them to the appropriate staff member, contributing to the overall guest experience.
Employment at Spenard Roadhouse includes access to valuable benefits, tailored by employment status. Employees may qualify for medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts for medical and childcare expenses, accrued paid sick leave which converts to paid time off after one year, and a 401(k) plan with employer matching up to 4 percent. Additional perks include dining discounts at sister restaurants such as Snow City Cafe, South Restaurant + Coffeehouse, and Crush Bistro, enhancing the overall employment package.
This busser position requires applicants to be at least 16 years of age, possess effective English communication skills, and hold a current Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card. These prerequisites ensure that all bussers maintain the necessary health and safety standards while supporting frontline staff. The role is ideal for individuals looking to develop their hospitality skills in a dynamic team-focused environment, gain experience in a fast-paced restaurant setting, and contribute to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
