Job Description

The employer seeking to fill this position is a well-established hospitality or senior living community focused on delivering exceptional dining experiences to its residents. Known for its warm, friendly atmosphere and high standards of service, this organization places a premium on resident satisfaction and quality care. The community values employees who are adaptable, attentive, and dedicated to maintaining an inviting environment for all its residents and guests.

This particular role is for a Dining Room Attendant/Busser, a pivotal position that places you at the forefront of resident interaction concerning the dining program. Serving both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, the Dining Room Attendant ensures that the dining space is inviting, orderly, and efficiently managed. The position requires a flexible individual who can step into various responsibilities as needed without compromising the overall standards of service. Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, this role demands maintaining composure while providing excellent service.

Responsibilities include preparing the dining room before meal services by setting tables and ensuring all supplies are stocked, arranging furniture for different group sizes, clearing and resetting tables, and assisting with food running duties such as delivering meals promptly to residents and supporting wait staff and bartenders. The attendant must be proactive in keeping the dining area clean and organized and communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation.

The job is part-time and non-exempt, with a schedule that varies to meet the needs of the community, offering between 20 to 29 working hours weekly. Compensation is competitively set at $15.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly. This role is designed for individuals enthusiastic about customer service, teamwork, and maintaining a pleasant dining atmosphere. The position also entails physical activity, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 30 pounds safely, and responding promptly to emergencies.

The employer offers full supplemental benefits to part-time staff, including a choice of dental and vision insurance, which reflects its commitment to employee well-being and satisfaction. The community also engages in fair and transparent hiring practices, utilizing an Automated Employment Decision Tool (AEDT) for evaluation purposes, and providing accommodations as required by law. This detail-oriented and service-driven role is an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy working in a people-focused hospitality environment and want to contribute positively to resident experiences.
