Job Description
Maggiano's Little Italy is a celebrated Italian-American restaurant that prides itself on offering a unique casual dining experience. Established by Norman Brinker, who pioneered the concept of casual dining, Maggiano's has become a beloved destination for guests seeking authentic Italian cuisine in a warm, welcoming environment. Located in the heart of Chicago and numerous locations nationwide, Maggiano's combines the spirit of traditional Italian family gatherings with the convenience and vibrancy of modern dining. The establishment's mission is to bring people together to celebrate the joys of family, friends, and good food. This commitment to community and connection is reflected not only in the ambiance and menu but also in the company culture and philanthropic efforts.
The role of a Busser at Maggiano's is integral to the seamless operation of the front-of-house team and the overall guest experience. Bussers assist the service team by efficiently clearing and setting tables, ensuring that dining areas are cleaned and reset promptly to accommodate new guests. This contributes directly to a smooth and enjoyable dining flow, helping servers maintain high standards of professional food service and guest satisfaction. The position requires energetic, hardworking individuals who are ready to keep pace with a vibrant, fast-moving restaurant environment. Working at Maggiano's also means joining a team that values collaboration, dedication, and a passion for creating memorable moments for every guest.
In addition to a dynamic work atmosphere, Maggiano's offers highly competitive earning opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package. Employees enjoy healthcare plans, including domestic partner benefits, contingent on tenure and hours worked, career development opportunities, and tuition assistance to support educational growth. The company also provides a market-leading 401(k) savings plan with a company match, various rewards and recognition programs, and discounts on dining, travel, electronics, and more. These perks are designed to support employees' wellbeing both inside and outside of work, fostering a balanced and fulfilling professional journey.
Joining Maggiano's means becoming part of a storied tradition of Italian American hospitality, where team members strive to welcome guests like family and deliver exceptional service that feels personal and genuine. The work environment encourages fun, diversity, and mutual support, making it an ideal place for those who want to grow their careers in the hospitality industry. Furthermore, Maggiano's dedication to giving back is evident through its support of charitable organizations like the Make-A-Wish Foundation and local food banks, creating a positive impact beyond the restaurant walls. The Busser position is a gateway to joining a team committed to excellence, community, and joy in every aspect of dining and service.
