With over 25 years of industry expertise, Tao Group Hospitality operates a diverse portfolio of branded venues, including restaurants, nightclubs, lounges, and daylife hotspots. The company’s collection of globally recognized names such as TAO, OMNIA, Marquee, LAVO, Beauty & Essex, and many more, consistently sets the standard for excellence in service and innovation within the hospitality sector. A part of Mohari Hospitality, an investment firm specializing in the luxury lifestyle and hospitality sectors, Tao Group Hospitality prides itself on exceeding guest expectations and continuously reinventing the future of entertainment and culinary experiences worldwide.
The role of a Busser at Tao Group Hospitality is integral to the seamless operation and guest experience within their high-energy, dynamic venues. The Busser position is a part-time role offering a competitive hourly wage of $17.87 and includes eligibility for numerous benefits such as State Applicable Time Off, Pet Insurance, a 401(k) Retirement Program with employer match, Employee Assistance Program, TAO Savings Marketplace, employee discounts, and much more. This role is essential for supporting Floor and Cocktail Servers by ensuring that tables are cleaned, reset, and prepared efficiently, thus maintaining a high standard of hospitality and guest satisfaction throughout the dining and lounge areas.
Busser team members are expected to engage courteously with guests, fellow team members, and management, embodying the gracious hospitality that Tao Group Hospitality is known for. Core responsibilities include anticipating guest needs, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the banquet and table areas, communicating effectively between the front-of-house and back-of-house teams, assisting with water service, and replenishing supplies as required. Additionally, Bussers play a vital role in the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the venue, adhering strictly to both company and Department of Health standards for sanitation and safety. Efficiency in clearing and resetting tables, managing side stations, and assisting with service preparation is crucial during service hours.
The position demands physical stamina and agility, requiring team members to be able to kneel, bend, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds. Working in a fast-paced environment that includes varying levels of noise, crowds, and exposure to cleaning materials or kitchen conditions is expected. Flexibility in scheduling is also important, as shifts may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours to meet the operational demands typical of a vibrant hospitality venue.
Training for this role is provided through specific in-venue busser training by Tao Group Hospitality to ensure that each team member is well-prepared to meet the company’s service standards. Prior experience in hospitality, particularly in high-volume restaurant, nightclub, or lounge settings, is preferred, enabling the candidate to thrive in this demanding but rewarding role. A positive attitude, clear communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as a part of a team are essential qualities that will allow a Busser to excel in delivering an outstanding experience to every guest.
Overall, working as a Busser at Tao Group Hospitality provides an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within the hospitality industry, working alongside passionate professionals dedicated to delivering memorable service in some of the most exciting venues worldwide. Through ongoing training, supportive team environments, and a comprehensive benefits package, the company fosters growth, professional development, and employee well-being, making it a great place to advance one’s career in hospitality.
