The role of Busser/Barback at Summit Hospitality hotels is a vital position within the Food & Beverage team, designed to support smooth operations and enhance guest satisfaction. This full-time position typically includes responsibility for replenishing bar supplies such as liquor, syrups, glasses, napkins, and straws both before and during service hours. The position also requires adherence to health, safety, and corporate policies, including compliance with liquor laws and internal security measures. Job Requirements
- Previous relevant experience in food and beverage or hospitality roles
- Strong work ethic and ability to stay focused and hustling
- Knowledge of table settings and service ware
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, and reach for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as busser, barback, food runner, or expeditor preferred
- Experience in hotels, restaurants, country clubs, or banquet facilities beneficial
- Full-service restaurant, bar, or lounge experience preferred
- Ability to follow tasks independently
- Capable of multitasking and supporting busy service periods
- Good communication skills in English
- Basic mathematical skills
Job Duties
- Assist with banquet room setup as instructed
- Prepare garnishes, refill ice wells, and change beer kegs
- Keep the bar stocked with necessary items during service hours
- Serve food and beverages as directed ensuring quality and timeliness
- Promptly bus dishes and clear tables after meals
- Clean spills and organize service areas
- Perform side work including restocking supplies and general cleaning tasks
