Job Description
This job opportunity is offered through Bluecrew, a leading workforce technology platform that connects workers with flexible jobs in various industries, including event staffing and food service. The current role focuses on event staffing for the upcoming FIFA World Cup games, a globally significant event that demands high standards of service and operational efficiency.
As an Event Staff member through Bluecrew, you will play an essential role in supporting food and beverage service during the FIFA World Cup matches, with shifts scheduled on key dates including June 16, June 20, June 25, June 27, July 3, and July 11. This position is temporary and requires passing a background check, which will be sent separately after the application deadline of June 2 at 8am CST. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for maintaining cleanliness and proper setup of restaurants or hospitality stations, assisting food servers, and ensuring guests receive prompt and courteous service. The role demands a willingness to work independently or as part of a team, with a strong emphasis on customer engagement and operational support.
This position involves physical activity such as clearing and resetting tables, stocking service stations, transporting dirty tableware, folding napkins, cleaning dining areas, and complying with general cleaning standards. It also includes direct guest interaction where you may serve beverages, breads, and condiments, helping to enhance the overall guest experience during an international sporting event. The role requires adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines for those handling food, including maintaining personal hygiene standards and dress code compliance, such as wearing close-toed shoes and pants.

Job Requirements
- Must complete a background check
- available to work specified FIFA World Cup shifts
- able to work on feet for full shift
- capability to perform physically strenuous activities such as reaching crouching and bending
- willingness to work in a busy and hectic environment
- follow GMP guidelines including hair up neatly trimmed fingernails and covered facial hair if required
- wear close-toed shoes and pants
- commit to completing all assigned duties safely and effectively
Job Qualifications
- Ability to work independently or in a team
- experience in food service or event staffing preferred
- customer service skills
- ability to operate point of sale machines or cash register (preferred but not required)
- knowledge of GMP guidelines for food handling
- physical ability to stand and move for entire shift
- attention to detail and cleanliness
- adherence to dress code and hygiene standards
Job Duties
- Sets and clears restaurant tables
- stocks all service stations
- assists food servers with table service
- quickly clears dirty table settings and prepares table for resetting
- maintains stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware linen and condiments
- serves guests beverages breads and butter and replenishes as necessary
- transports all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area
- performs any general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor
- folds napkins throughout the day to maintain an adequate supply
