Job Description
Olive Garden is a renowned casual dining restaurant chain specializing in Italian-American cuisine. Known for its welcoming atmosphere and robust menu, the company prides itself on creating a family-friendly environment where guests can enjoy high-quality meals and exceptional service. Olive Garden operates numerous locations across the United States and has cultivated a reputation for both its delicious food and commitment to guest satisfaction. As a leader in the hospitality industry, Olive Garden emphasizes a team-oriented culture where employees are valued and supported in their growth and development.
At Olive Garden, team members are considered part of a larger family, reflecting the company’s motto, "We’re All Family Here." This philosophy extends to providing flexible work schedules that accommodate employees' other life commitments such as school, childcare, and family care. Alongside a work environment that fosters inclusivity and mutual respect, Olive Garden offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees’ well-being and career advancement. With weekly pay, anniversary bonuses, paid sick leave, and paid family and medical leave, employees receive recognition and security as they build their careers within the company.
The role of the busser at Olive Garden is integral to creating a positive dining experience for guests. Bussers ensure that dining areas remain clean, sanitized, and inviting throughout the service period. This role supports servers by maintaining the flow of service, resetting tables promptly, and upholding the restaurant’s high standards of safety and hygiene. Commitment to these standards is particularly emphasized given Olive Garden's dedication to the health and safety of both team members and guests.
Bussers at Olive Garden contribute to a smooth and efficient front-of-house operation. They work closely with servers and management to deliver timely and attentive service, enhancing overall guest satisfaction. This position is suitable for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, value teamwork, and are eager to support the operations of a busy restaurant. Olive Garden provides ongoing training to strengthen critical skills that benefit both current roles and future career opportunities.
Additionally, Olive Garden values the growth and promotion of its team members, with over half of management positions filled by those who started hourly roles. The busser position can be a stepping stone to advancement within the company, offering both immediate benefits and longer-term career prospects. Other perks include free employee meals, discounts on cellphones, travel, electronics, and access to a 401(k) savings plan with company matching after one year of service. This position offers variable pay depending on the location, plus tips, making it a potentially rewarding opportunity for motivated candidates.
Joining Olive Garden means becoming part of a dynamic and supportive network focused on shared success. The company’s commitment to maintaining clean and safe restaurants coupled with flexible scheduling, robust benefits, and career pathways ensures that bussers are equipped and valued. Whether you are looking for part-time work, an entry point into the restaurant industry, or a path toward a management career, the busser position at Olive Garden provides a welcoming and growth-oriented environment.
