Job Description
Fogo de Chao is a renowned restaurant brand known for offering an authentic Brazilian dining experience centered on the Culinary Art of Churrasco. With a mission to ignite fire and joy, Fogo de Chao is deeply committed to caring for its team, guests, and the communities they serve. The restaurant aims to create memorable dining experiences for every guest while cultivating a workplace where team members feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow both professionally and personally. Fogo de Chao is widely respected for its dedication to teamwork, integrity, excellence, humility, and the spirit of "Deixa Comigo" which translates as "we've got you". These core values form the foundation of the company’s culture and guide the actions and interactions of its team every day.
Fogo de Chao is currently seeking Busser professionals to join their team immediately. This position offers a fixed hourly rate of $16.37 and is also eligible to receive tips, making it a competitive opportunity in the restaurant industry. The busser role is integral to supporting the servers and ensuring that guest tables are maintained in a clean, organized, and efficient manner. Key responsibilities include maintaining ice water, cheese rolls, side dishes, and other table items as directed by servers. Bussers execute prompt table cleanup and setup between guests to maintain the flow of service and contribute to the overall guest satisfaction. They also handle the transportation of trays from the dining area to the dishwashing station and assist with opening and closing shift duties, which helps ensure a smooth start and end to service days.
The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple tasks while keeping the guest experience a priority. In addition to performing physical duties such as standing and walking for extended periods and transporting objects up to 25 pounds, bussers at Fogo de Chao are expected to work weekends and holidays to support restaurant operations during peak times. This team position offers opportunities for personal and career advancement within a supportive environment where inclusivity and a welcoming atmosphere are emphasized.
Fogo de Chao offers various benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance for full-time hourly team members, with coverage starting the first of the month following 60 days of employment. Other employer-paid benefits include life insurance and short-term disability where allowed. Additionally, a comprehensive voluntary benefits package is available to include critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident coverage, permanent life, and pet insurance. Part-time employees are also supported through minimum essential coverage health plans, vision and dental care, plus additional voluntary benefits such as pet insurance, legal, and ID protection. Fogo de Chao’s commitment to equal opportunity employment and the use of E-Verify ensures a diverse and legally compliant workforce.
Joining Fogo de Chao as a busser means becoming part of a brand dedicated to excellence in service and culinary tradition while being supported to grow as a professional in an engaging and inclusive environment. This opportunity is perfect for individuals who thrive in a team-oriented atmosphere, take pride in supporting guests' dining experiences, and are eager to contribute to the success of a respected restaurant group.
