Job Description

Metro Diner is a well-established restaurant known for its warm, welcoming service, familiar faces, and award-winning food. The company prides itself on delivering simply delicious meals with 100% guest satisfaction as the top priority. This commitment to culture is more than just words at Metro Diner; it is a core value that the team lives and breathes every day. Known for its friendly atmosphere and excellent food quality, Metro Diner has created a dining experience that feels like a home away from home for customers. This atmosphere is supported by a team of dedicated individuals who work together to ensure every guest leaves with a smile and a fulfilled appetite.

The Busser role at Metro Diner is a vital part of maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and guest service that the restaurant is known for. As a Busser, you will be responsible for ensuring the diner environment remains spotless and inviting. Your duties will include continuously moving throughout the diner and outdoor patio to clean tables, chairs, and floors, ensuring the overall cleanliness reflects the company's vision of making guests feel welcomed as though they were in your own home. A major focus of this role is sanitation, requiring you to work quickly, quietly, and thoroughly to maintain a clean dining area.

Your observational skills will be critical in monitoring the cleanliness of restrooms and restocking necessary paper goods. Honesty, integrity, and composure are essential traits to succeed in this position, especially as you handle bus tubs delicately to avoid disturbing guests or damaging dishes. Organizational skills are also important to keep dish areas clean, especially when stacking plates and glassware.

Ideal candidates may already have experience working as a Busser in fast-paced restaurant environments. Familiarity with communicating via headsets with hosts and managers to efficiently manage dining room turnover can be a significant advantage. The ability to pre-bus tables and assist servers when necessary shows teamwork and attentiveness to guests' needs. Additionally, understanding the importance of monitoring dish detergent and cleaning supply levels ensures that the restaurant's standards are continuously upheld. Commitment to keeping the outside areas of the diner clean and free of debris reflects attention to detail and pride in the workplace.

Metro Diner offers flexible scheduling, meal discounts for both front and back of house, paid vacation and competitive benefits after one year of service, free tele-medicine through First Stop Health after one year, referral bonuses with no limits, access to Perks at Work discounts on travel, fitness, auto, and event tickets, and opportunities for long-term career growth, all supported by a great team environment ready for new members to join. This position offers not just a job but a chance to be part of a community that values respect, quality, and exceptional service.
