The role of Back Server/Busser at True Food Kitchen is essential to the restaurant's smooth operation and overall guest experience. Back Servers/Bussers are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of the dining area, ensuring tables are cleared and reset promptly and efficiently after guests leave. They work closely with servers and bartenders by assisting in refilling drinks such as water and iced tea, removing used tableware, and occasionally helping with food delivery. This position requires swift movement throughout the dining room to support the front-of-house team during busy periods, contributing directly to the fast-paced, fun atmosphere the restaurant is known for.
Back Servers/Bussers at True Food Kitchen must be flexible and willing to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and mid-day, with the possibility of night, holiday, and weekend schedules. The role can range from part-time to full-time hours, offering a variety of scheduling options to fit different lifestyles. Job Qualifications
- Experience in a fun, fast paced restaurant environment would be beneficial
- Ability to provide great hospitality and amazing service
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays and weekends
- Basic knowledge of restaurant cleanliness and safety standards
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Duties
- Make sure the dining room is perfect always by clearing and resetting tables after guests leave
- Help the servers and bartenders by providing refills on water and iced tea as needed and removing used table ware between courses
- Check floor, bar, restrooms and clean as needed
- Assist dishwashers by removing clean dishes from the dish station and stocking them in appropriate areas
- Ensure spills are cleaned up quickly with as little disturbance to the guest as possible
- Assist with food delivery, remark as needed, especially with large parties and during peak periods
- Thank guests when leaving and inquire about their experience
- Respond sincerely and appropriately to guest requests and communicate if necessary
- Flexibility during the shift to help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant
