Known for its warm hospitality, delicious homestyle food, and unique retail offerings, Cracker Barrel offers a welcoming atmosphere where guests come to gather, reconnect, and feel at home. With over 70,000 team members nationwide, Cracker Barrel prides itself on fostering a supportive and inclusive environment that values teamwork, personal growth, and community. The company’s commitment goes beyond just serving meals; it is centered around creating memorable experiences for guests and meaningful opportunities for employees.
This position is for a Busser role at Cracker Barrel, an entry-level opportunity that is perfect for individuals eager to join the hospitality industry and make a real difference in the guest experience. As a Busser, you are integral to the smooth operation of the dining room, setting the tone for hospitality by ensuring tables are clean, comfortable, and prepared for incoming guests. The role is more than just clearing and resetting tables—it is about creating a welcoming environment that invites guests to enjoy their visit and build lasting memories.
Busser team members work closely with servers and other dining room staff to maintain organization and efficiency. If you have a keen eye for detail, a team-first attitude, and pride in helping others, this job invites you to be part of something meaningful. No previous restaurant experience is necessary, as Cracker Barrel provides comprehensive training through its industry-leading PAR training program, designed to help new employees succeed from day one. The role also offers competitive pay, same-day pay access, and health insurance eligibility starting with your first day of employment, reflecting Cracker Barrel’s dedication to supporting its workforce.
Working at Cracker Barrel also means access to excellent growth opportunities, including a 401k plan with company matching contributions, an Employee Stock Purchase Program, and ongoing development options. The company invests in a culture of belonging with onboarding, training, and multiple recognition programs that foster community and employee engagement. Additional perks include a 35% discount on all Cracker Barrel food and retail items, and exclusive offers on home, travel, and cell phone services. Cracker Barrel’s inclusive hiring practices ensure that all qualified applicants are considered without discrimination, making it a welcoming place for diverse candidates.
Joining Cracker Barrel as a Busser means joining a team that truly values the work you do, encouraging you to take pride in creating moments that matter. If you are someone who spots what needs to be done and jumps in to assist, stays organized and purposeful, and is ready to contribute positively to a team atmosphere, this role is a wonderful fit for you. This opportunity is designed to support your personal growth and success in the hospitality field while allowing you to be part of a company that has stood the test of time by being more than just a restaurant but a community hub where guests and employees alike feel connected and appreciated.
