Job Description
Our establishment is a vibrant Taproom renowned for crafting exceptional beers with a strong commitment to quality and customer service. We pride ourselves on providing a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere where guests can savor our diverse beer selections made with love and dedication. Our Taproom not only focuses on the art of brewing but also places a high value on delivering a memorable dining experience to every visitor. We operate in a fast-paced, fun environment that thrives on teamwork, efficiency, and hospitality. We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our service team as Bussers, a crucial role that supports the overall guest experience and keeps the Taproom running smoothly and efficiently.
As a Busser at our Taproom, you will be the backbone of our service staff, constantly on the move to ensure that all guests receive attentive and prompt service. Your main responsibilities will include greeting guests, serving drinks and providing refills, clearing used tableware between courses, and maintaining clean and orderly dining areas. This role requires someone who enjoys a dynamic and energetic work environment and understands the importance of sanitation and organization in delivering excellent customer service. You will work closely with servers and hostesses to ensure seamless seating arrangements, table turnover, and communication of guest needs. The position offers part-time work with variable hours, including mandatory days, nights, and weekend shifts, with compensation starting at $16.90 per hour plus tips. Additionally, employees access benefits such as a 401(k) plan with matching contributions and employee discounts.
Your daily tasks will range from operating small electric and gas-powered cleaning equipment, promptly greeting guests with water service, removing dishes between courses, to maintaining restroom cleanliness. You will also play a vital role in food delivery assistance during peak hours and expressing genuine hospitality by thanking guests upon departure. This position demands physical stamina for brisk walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and wiping throughout your shift. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication are essential competencies for success in this role. Although no prior restaurant experience is mandatory, a basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits is preferred. Additionally, candidates must be 18 years or older, possess and maintain required Food Safety and Responsible Beverage Service certifications, and complete necessary workplace safety and harassment prevention training.
Joining our team means being part of a community that values diversity and encourages individuals with a criminal record to apply. We are committed to creating a positive workplace culture where every employee’s contribution is recognized and appreciated, fostering growth, learning, and mutual respect. This Busser position is a nonexempt role reporting directly to the General Manager and Taproom Manager. The job promises a meaningful and energetic experience for those passionate about hospitality and dedicated to enhancing the guest experience in a bustling Taproom environment.
