Job Requirements

- Able to lift and carry racks or stacks of dishes, glassware and other
- Able to frequently bend, stoop, reach, push and lift

- Basic understanding of dining and kitchen procedures
Job Duties
- Build rapport with guests, keep a constant smile and positive attitude, take initiative to stay busy and contribute to the restaurant’s success
- Remove dirty plates, silverware, and glassware from tables as guests finish or leave
- Take dirty items to the dishwasher and clean and reset tables in accordance with Slater’s 50/50 set up policy
- Inspect all utensils, plates, and service items to ensure cleanliness and replace as needed
- Assist servers in refilling guests’ drinks and help food runners present food to tables
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, trash cans, windows, doors, and restrooms
- Stock, clean, and organize ice bins and server stations
- Empty bus tubs regularly
- Understand and follow all dining area and kitchen service procedures
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies
- Comply with all restaurant policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
- Provide guests with needed items throughout their visit
- Manage situations involving excessive guest drinking by persuading guests or arranging safe transportation
- Clock in and out as required and take breaks as per policy
- Report to General Manager and supervisors as directed
- Maintain extensive knowledge of the current menu
- Perform additional job duties as assigned
