Job Duties

  • Build rapport with guests, keep a constant smile and positive attitude, take initiative to stay busy and contribute to the restaurant’s success
  • Remove dirty plates, silverware, and glassware from tables as guests finish or leave
  • Take dirty items to the dishwasher and clean and reset tables in accordance with Slater’s 50/50 set up policy
  • Inspect all utensils, plates, and service items to ensure cleanliness and replace as needed
  • Assist servers in refilling guests’ drinks and help food runners present food to tables
  • Maintain cleanliness of floors, trash cans, windows, doors, and restrooms
  • Stock, clean, and organize ice bins and server stations
  • Empty bus tubs regularly
  • Understand and follow all dining area and kitchen service procedures
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies
  • Comply with all restaurant policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Provide guests with needed items throughout their visit
  • Manage situations involving excessive guest drinking by persuading guests or arranging safe transportation
  • Clock in and out as required and take breaks as per policy
  • Report to General Manager and supervisors as directed
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of the current menu
  • Perform additional job duties as assigned
