Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or foreign equivalency
  • minimum of one year previous restaurant experience in land-based or shipboard operation
  • minimum of one year previous experience selling and serving wine and other beverage products
  • intermediate to advanced level English verbal and writing skills
  • courses and/or training in safety, environmental, public health and sanitation regulations and procedures
  • physical ability to stand and walk long distances
  • ability to handle repetitive motions including bending, climbing, and lifting more than 25 pounds
  • able to participate in emergency life-saving procedures and drills
  • able to work flexible schedules including 7 days a week
  • professional appearance and good hygiene
  • able to live and work in close quarters with others

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Turning over tables and promoting beverage service in the Buffet
  • responsible for safeguarding all equipment and materials required for operation
  • turning of tables and capitalizing on beverage service in the Buffet
  • perform other related duties as assigned or as directed
  • must be familiar with the Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and the SEMS
  • escorts guests and/or resets tables as assigned in Main Dining Rooms
  • assist waiters and assistant waiters with stocking, cleaning and maintaining waiter stations
  • ensures that the restaurants are properly cleaned at the end of each meal period
  • set up mess rooms with all food, beverage product, condiments, sign stands, utensils, china, glassware and silverware prior to each service in Crew Mess
  • maintain food line and cleanliness of tables throughout service in Crew Mess
  • cleans and sanitizes food line, beverage dispensing machines, and restocks all of the china, glassware and silverware at the end of each service
  • set up assigned station with required amounts of equipment and mis-en-place prior to the start of service in Buffet
  • clean tables in assigned station throughout service
  • complies with sequence of service for beverage to ensure timeliness of service to guests
  • perform side work such as silverware roll-ups, emptying trash, and stocking/cleaning beverage station
  • man non-cooking buffet action stations such as carving and dessert stations
