The Busperson role at White Lodging is an essential frontline position within the hospitality team. As a Busperson, you will be instrumental in ensuring that dining areas are impeccably maintained, contributing to a seamless and pleasant dining experience for guests. This role involves collaborating closely with servers and food runners to maintain table cleanliness, assist with beverage delivery, and help set up dining areas efficiently. The position requires excellent communication skills, a social and engaging personality, and a proactive mindset to anticipate guest needs while maintaining professionalism and friendliness at all times.

Additionally, the Busperson will have the opportunity to learn and eventually operate the Host Stand, gaining valuable exposure to multiple facets of restaurant operations. Knowledge of the menu, including item contents, preparation methods, and garnishes, is crucial to accurately answer guest inquiries and deliver excellent hospitality. This role also involves performing various cleaning tasks and handling payment processes responsibly. Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and move at a fast pace for long periods of time

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in hospitality or a similar customer service role is a plus
  • Ability to handle high volume and maintain professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends

  • Exhibit professionalism and friendliness at all times
  • Learn to operate the Host Stand
  • Be knowledgeable of all menu items, contents, preparation methods, and garnishes
  • Accurately answer guest questions
  • Perform all cleaning, opening, and closing duties as assigned
  • Process all payment methods
  • Maintain a neat and professional personal appearance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
