Job Description

Marriott International is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, known for its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences across its diverse portfolio of hotel brands. Among these brands is Westin Hotels & Resorts, a distinguished name dedicated to promoting wellness and rejuvenation for travelers. Located in the vibrant city of Chicago, the Westin at 320 N Dearborn St offers a dynamic environment where hospitality professionals can thrive and contribute to an elevated guest experience.

This job opening is for a full-time, non-management Food and Beverage team member role at the Westin hotel. The position is based on-site in Chicago, Illinois, and offers an hourly wage of $15.75, with additional tip eligibility and a training/PTO rate of $22.00 per hour. The role primarily involves providing professional, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service to guests. Candidates are expected to have flexible availability to meet the demands of the position.

As a Food and Beverage team member, you will be responsible for greeting guests warmly and by name whenever possible, serving water, bread, and coffee, and maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of tables and dining areas. Your duties will include setting up workstations, inspecting dishware for cleanliness, and ensuring safety standards are met throughout the service period. You will also be responsible for closing duties like storing reusable goods, breaking down supplies, cleaning all equipment and work areas, replenishing items, securing refrigerators, turning off lights, locking doors, and completing daily cleaning checklists.

The role requires physical stamina and dexterity — including standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, handling items up to 50 pounds, and navigating uneven or slippery surfaces. This position emphasizes a team-oriented approach, requiring positive communication skills, adherence to company policies on appearance and safety, and maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information.

Westin promotes an inclusive work environment that celebrates diversity and ensures equal opportunity for all associates. Benefits offered include medical and retirement plans, paid time off including sick leave, life insurance, disability coverage, and wellness programs designed to support a healthy work-life balance. The company encourages wellness among its employees, seeking individuals who value maintaining their own wellbeing and who embody an optimistic and adventurous spirit.

Joining Westin means becoming part of an incredible global team, where you can perform your best work, fulfill your purpose, and grow into your best self. This is an excellent opportunity for those passionate about hospitality and wellness to contribute meaningfully to an industry-leading brand dedicated to guest satisfaction and employee wellbeing.
