Job Duties
- Consistently prepare high-quality food in a timely manner and follow all company recipes and specifications

- observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently using tasting, smelling, or piercing
- weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment using various kitchen utensils and equipment
- maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of work station and kitchen
- inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure safe, sanitary food-handling practices
- comply with all portion sizes, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies and procedures
- estimate expected food consumption and requisition or purchase supplies or procure food from storage
- set up line according to kitchen guidelines and par sheets
- pre-cut ingredients such as fruits, vegetables, deli-meats to reduce preparation time
- check to see if kitchen equipment is operational
- stock stations to par levels
- check stations for equipment and tools
- memorize all ingredients and portion sizes for menu items
- wrap, date and refrigerate food
- sanitize cutting boards
- organize station shelves
- hand-clean knives
- complete and participate in line checks
- assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-ins, and storage areas
