Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in kitchen management or related assistant general manager role
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in kitchen management or assistant general manager role
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing a diverse team
  • Experience working in Italian cuisine or full-service dining environments preferred
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software and inventory control systems
  • Certification in ServSafe or equivalent
  • Demonstrated success in cost control and budget management

Job Duties

  • Assist the General Manager in managing daily restaurant operations including scheduling and financial performance monitoring
  • Manage kitchen staff by providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations
  • Oversee food preparation to ensure consistency, portion control, and adherence to recipes
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Collaborate with front-of-house management to coordinate service flow
  • Monitor inventory levels and order kitchen supplies efficiently
  • Implement cost control measures to optimize profitability
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of kitchen team members
  • Participate in management meetings to review performance and develop strategies
