We are currently seeking a full-time Brewery Representative for the Collin County, TX area, specifically candidates who reside in Allen, Frisco, or Plano, TX. This role emphasizes a field-based sales position where the representative works autonomously to develop new accounts and nurture current relationships within the food and beverage industry. The Brewery Representative plays a critical role in increasing the availability and visibility of Boston Beer Company's diverse product portfolio by engaging with retail accounts such as bars, restaurants, liquor stores, grocery stores, and convenience stores.

This position involves strategic consultative selling techniques aimed at expanding product lineups and deepening market penetration. The representative will work closely with distributors to ensure seamless order placement, product delivery, and overall business growth within their territory. Regular market travel is a core component of the role, with a focus on building brand presence through display setups, cooler resets, and effective point-of-sale merchandising. Candidates should expect a dynamic work environment that varies day-to-day based on customer interaction and sales demands, including occasional weekend and holiday work to support business initiatives.

The role also includes educational outreach such as conducting waitstaff and bartender training sessions, hosting beer tastings, and promoting evening events to stimulate product interest and sales. Regular attendance at meetings and training sessions may occasionally require travel beyond the primary territory. Boston Beer Company offers competitive compensation ranging between $48,000 and $67,250 annually, with actual salary placement dependent on experience, skill set, and location. Additional compensation elements include a discretionary annual bonus and potential car allowance for certain sales roles.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one year experience in outside sales or food and beverage industry
  • Valid driver's license, registered and insured vehicle
  • Must live in Allen, Frisco, or Plano, TX
  • Ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently
  • Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point-of-sale
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed

Job Qualifications

  • One or more years of proven results-oriented experience in outside sales or within the food and beverage industry
  • An intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently
  • Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point-of-sale
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Job Duties

  • Sell our entire Boston Beer Company product portfolio
  • 100% focus on selling products and/or upgrading number of product lines in retail accounts (bars/restaurants, liquor/grocery stores/convenient stores)
  • Identify major accounts not currently selling Boston Beer Company products and develop a plan to establish business
  • Improve conditions and merchandise accounts by building displays, resetting coolers, and displaying point-of-sale items to increase brand visibility
  • Partner with distributors to ensure orders are placed, products are received, and business is growing at accounts
  • Conduct waitstaff/bartender education, beer tastings, and evening promotions
  • Travel regularly within the market to service retailers and wholesalers
