Job Description

Bon Appetit is currently seeking a full-time Bread Lead to join their team at Expedia Group HQ, offering a four-day work week from Sunday to Wednesday, 7 A.M. to 6 P.M. This role requires previous bread baking experience and the enthusiasm to support and inspire a positive work environment.

The Bread Lead plays a critical role in preparing an assortment of breads for all operations within the Expedia account and delivery services. This position demands thorough knowledge and application of applicable federal, state, and corporate food safety standards, ensuring that all food production processes adhere to strict guidelines and company procedures. The Bread Lead is responsible for maintaining high-quality food outputs by following standardized recipes and preparation techniques while overseeing kitchen cleanliness and operational efficiency. Beyond baking responsibilities, the Bread Lead will lead by example in fostering strong working relationships among team members, cultivating a cooperative and productive kitchen environment. This role combines technical baking skills with leadership in maintaining food quality, safety, and workplace standards, ultimately supporting the larger mission of providing excellent food service consistently. Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
  • Produces breads and/or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
  • Tastes all prepared food items
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
  • Keeps refrigerators and station clean and neat
  • Ensures food and supply items are stored per standards
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Attends meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
  • Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • Performs other duties as assigned
