The Branch Manager position at Airgas, located in Jacksonville, FL, is a full-time role focused on overseeing the daily store operations to meet or exceed sales and margin objectives. This leadership role demands promoting sales efforts, delivering exceptional customer service, managing inventory levels, and controlling expenses through diligent purchase support. The Branch Manager is pivotal in ensuring facility and staff compliance with safety and regulatory standards, empowering team members to provide efficient customer service, maintain cleanliness standards, and optimize operational efficiency. This role also involves supporting the outside sales team to nurture client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
The Branch Manager will play a key role in financial transaction processing, including cash reports, charge tickets, costing, pricing, and bank deposits, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Additionally, the manager will maintain accurate records of back orders, open orders, and purchase order expedite reports. Staff development is highly emphasized, with the facilitator expected to lead training sessions on product knowledge, company policies, procedures, and safety for inside sales associates. Performance reviews and mentoring will form part of the responsibilities to foster employee growth and align staff with company goals.

Job Requirements
- Proven leadership background in customer-facing retail or industrial distribution environments with expertise in leading teams, managing driver fleets, and optimizing delivery routing
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and occasionally up to 125 lbs with material handling equipment
- Proficient computer skills and interest in learning new digital tools
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Self-motivated with a focus on contributing to team success
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in inventory cultivation and vendor relationship support
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Provide professional customer service for internal and external customers and handle product, pricing, and technical inquiries
- Support the outside sales team in fostering existing client relationships and securing new business
- Oversee accurate and timely processing of financial transactions including cash reports, charge tickets, costing, pricing, daily cash summaries, and bank deposits
- Maintain accuracy of back order, open order, and purchase order expedite reports
- Manage and optimize cylinder and hard goods inventory levels for the branch
- Facilitate and lead training for inside sales associates on product knowledge, company policies, processes, procedures, and safety
- Conduct periodic performance reviews and act as a liaison between employees and management providing mentorship and guidance
