J.B. Hunt is currently expanding its Final Mile Services home delivery carrier force, seeking established independent contractors to join their team. This role involves contracting to deliver and install appliances for a major retailer directly into customer locations. Contractors benefit from a market-adjusted fuel surcharge program which helps save on fuel expenses, augmenting their earnings. On average, carriers can earn approximately $600 per route, working a Monday through Friday schedule with routes averaging 100 to 175 miles. This position offers contractors a steady and reliable customer base with consistent deliveries, alongside competitive 7-day payment terms to assure prompt compensation.

Furthermore, contractors gain access to nationwide accounts and a variety of third-party discounts on truck rentals, fuel, and tools, optimizing operational costs and enhancing profitability. This contract role requires a commitment to providing superior customer service through professional, timely delivery and expert appliance installation. The workdays consist of ten-hour shifts, maintaining a balance between productivity and manageable workload.

Ideal candidates will already possess an active DOT and MC authority, own a 16-foot box truck preferably equipped with a liftgate, and operate as a two-man team. Prior experience with home delivery, especially white-glove services, and appliance installation is essential. Background and drug screening are mandatory for all team members.
